    Newfoundland Outports

    Travel photo album | 旅游影集

"Outports" refer to the isolated villages scattered along Newfoundland southshore. They have no road connecting to mainland of the island but the only way out to the world is by boats. Populations of these villages are mostly in the range between 30 and 100. La Poile and Grey River are two of them, located in mid-west of the shore. Many villagers still depend on fishing to make their lives, although the fishery industry was declining in the recent decade.
